Bloody Red theme pack is finally here! Latest version (188.8.131.52.10.12) includes 4 more Bloody Red themes. The fifth Bloody Red theme you can download from the Mozilla add-ons website. All 5 themes are fully skinned with Bloody Red design added to all browser windows - add-ons manager, tab group, new tab, toolbar, options window, sidebar ect. Thanks to this tutorial you gain access to Bloody Red classic, Bloody Red lava, Bloody Red gradient and Bloody Red rainbow themes.
To use the subskins you need to add a line of code to your userChrome.css document. userChrome.css is a file that you can edit to tweak the appearance of Firefox. When Firefox starts up, it reads this file and then applies any commands you may have added to this file.
Bloody Red has 4 lines of code which can add to the document. You can add one at a time. You can't use the four new designs at the same time.
The path for Windows 7 and 8 users is C:\Users\Steven\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\\chrome\userChrome.css
If the chrome folder or userChrome.css do not exist, you can simply create them yourself by using notepad.
The path for Windows XP users is C:\Documents and Settings\[USER]\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\default.tea\chrome\userChrome.css
These are the four lines of code which you can paste in your userChrome.css file. Again you can use only ONE at a time.
@import url("chrome://browser/skin/skins/skin1.css"); - for Bloody Red Lava
@import url("chrome://browser/skin/skins/skin2.css"); - for Bloody Red Gradient
@import url("chrome://browser/skin/skins/skin3.css"); - for Bloody Red Classic
@import url("chrome://browser/skin/skins/skin4.css"); - for Bloody Red Rainbow
Paste one of the codes given above in the userChrome.css document. Restart the browser to see the changes and enjoy the theme. :)
